Fast foods may have been the meal of choice for many busy families through the last couple of decades. But now the slow cooked, home-prepared meals are gaining in popularity! Crock pots, with their wafting aromas and 'ready to eat' meals, entice health-conscious, busy people.
Our grandmothers knew how to manage a frugal, yet efficient and productive home -- and they didn't need expensive gadgets either! Many slow cookers sell in the range of to and the cost is soon easy beef stew made up by the thriftiness of eating at home.

However, there will be times when you don't know anyone that works for the character you're writing about, so for those times, your first job is to sit down and interview your character. To do that, create a list of questions such as where were you born, what were the names of your parents, what do you like to eat, what's your favorite color and so on. Then "get into character" in much the same way as actors on a stage do. For a few minutes, pretend you are the character and answer the questions. Go into as much detail as you possibly can.
With more women holding down jobs, Rival started to show them how easy fixing meals would be with their slow cooker. Rival knew that it would appeal to women that they could cook a meal, while they were away at work. Then by the middle of the 70s other companies jumped aboard making their versions. Most of them no longer are around though.
You ate the cafeteria food too. Meals were supplemented with government surplus stacked to the ceiling at the end of the long room, a stack which grew shorter as the year progressed. The baked potato can be cooked quickly and easily. Just wash the potato off, poke a few wholes in it, and place it in the microwave for 5 minutes. If it isn't quite done place it back easy beef stew chow the microwave for 60 seconds. Cut a whole down the middle and then add your toppings.
